Min-Chen Lee is a classical pianist from Taiwan. Her passion and versatility as a pianist have brought her to perform in concert venues in Australia, Austria, Korea, and the United States, giving regular solo recitals. She was recently invited to perform at Steinway Hall in New York City and as a guest artist for the Yilan International Art Festival in Taiwan. She made her concerto debut with the National Chinese Orchestra of Taiwan at the age of 13, performing Spring River by Xu Jinxin. She soon won the Tainan National University of the Arts Concerto Competition and performed Grieg Piano Concerto with the University Orchestra in 2013. As a winner of the Concerto Competition at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, she performed Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 with the UGA University Orchestra in 2024.

Beyond her soloist career, Min-Chen is an active chamber musician. She has participated in numerous festivals, including the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Chamber Music Athens, and the Maine Chamber Music Seminar at Snow Pond Music Festival. As a sought-after collaborative pianist, she has worked intensively with instrumentalists and vocalists in auditions, competitions, and recitals. She was the pianist in the Wind Ensemble and University Chorus at the University of Georgia. In addition, she was the rehearsal pianist for opera productions at the university.

As a devoted teacher, she believes in the importance of music education. She worked with piano majors in lessons as a teaching assistant at the Tainan National University of the Arts. She also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Georgia, teaching piano classes for music majors. She is on the faculty of the Community Music School at UGA, working with students at all levels. A member of the MTNA, her recent research “The Taubman Technique: Building a Stronger and Healthier Foundation,” will be presented by the Music Teacher National Association; she will give a talk on the prevention of performance-related injuries.

Min-Chen is a doctoral candidate at the University of Georgia under the tutelage of Evgeny Rivkin. She is pursuing two minors, studying collaborative piano with Liza Stepanova and Alan Woo, and piano pedagogy with Peter Jutras and Grace Huang. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance from the Tainan National University of the Arts, where she studied under Hsiao-Ching Grace Chung and Mikhail Kollontay. Additionally, she has worked with distinguished artists, including Wu Han, Rieko Aizawa, Matti Raekallio, Orli Shaham, Roberto Plano, Ayami Ikeba, Craig Sheppard, Daniil Kopylov, Phillip Ying, Colin Carr, the Parker String Quartet, and the Borromeo String Quartet during various festivals and masterclasses.
